Fall 2010 Bridal Bazaar – Open for booth sales!

The fall show takes place October 24th at the Del Mar Fairgrounds.

The October 24th Bridal Bazaar is open for sales!  In the past 10-days San Diego wedding professionals have snapped up over 100 booths at the show, but we still have many great locations available.

If you are a wedding professional looking to meet San Diego brides, the fall Bridal Bazaar is the place to be.   With 200 booths and total attendance of 3,500, including over 1,000 engaged couples, the fall Bridal Bazaar is San Diego’s largest fall bridal show.     Here’s why…

  • Experience. The Bridal Bazaar is a wedding planning tradition for San Diego brides.  Since 1975 we’ve produced over 100 shows where more than 150,000 San Diego couples have planned their weddings.
  • Meeting the needs of brides. Brides love the Bridal Bazaar!   In fact, we’ve just been named “San Diego’s Best Bridal Show” for the sixth time by brides voting on BridalInsider.com.  No other bridal show has won this award even once.
  • Meeting the needs of wedding professionals. The Bridal Bazaar has the best exhibitor retention rate in town.  We are the only bridal show that attracts large regional and national exhibitors, companies that know which shows work best.   And high end exhibitors have found the Bridal Bazaar works better than so-called “up-scale” bridal shows.
  • Exceptional advertising support. Only the Bridal Bazaar puts its money where its mouth is by running extensive radio, television and print advertising that attract couples to the show.  Other shows, even ones claiming to reach “up-scale” brides, try to get by with inexpensive promotional programs that simply don’t work.
  • Affordable booth prices. San Diego’s largest bridal show is also the most cost effective.   On a cost per bride basis the Bridal Bazaar is the best deal in town!   And with a full 10’x10’ booth space priced at $790, we are actually quite a bit less expensive than the next largest show (which attracts fewer than half the brides you’ll meet at the Bridal Bazaar).

Expand your business opportunites at the bridal show with the best attendance and a long tradition of exhibitor success – the Bridal Bazaar!

Brides speak out about the Bridal Bazaar.

Big is beautiful. Brides love the variety they find at the Bridal Bazaar.

After every Bridal Bazaar show we survey attendees to see what they thought about the show.   With three times more exhibitors than they find at other bridal shows, it is hardly surprising that brides love the variety and quantity of vendors, ideas and choices they find at the Bridal Bazaar.  Here’s a sampling of what brides had to say about the August 8th show:

I loved being able talk to vendors face to face and how many there were to choose from. I found our reception site, florist, and videographer all at the Bridal Bazaar.”

“I loved getting to meet with all the different vendors all at once without having to book a million different appointments on my own!”

“I was able to get  ideas about things I hadn’t even realized I needed for the wedding.”

“I like that there was such a wide variety of vendors available in various price ranges.  And the deals were great.”

“I really liked how many vendors you had, there were lots of different choices.”

“The showcase of so many vendors was excellent. The fashion show was inspiring.”

“The exhibitors were so friendly and enthusiastic.   I learned a lot at the show.”

“The fashion show was very nice – great models, great dresses, great music. I also loved that there was a small bar with mimosas and cocktails. A+”

We just opened the fall Bridal Bazaar for sales to exhibitors.   So brides can look forward to meeting more than 200 of San Diego’s finest wedding vendors at the Del Mar Fairgrounds on Sunday, October 24th.  See you there!

Melinda has new diamond earrings!

Congratulations to Melinda for winning the diamond earring drawing at the August 8th Bridal Bazaar.   Melinda is now the proud owner of a pair of 1-carat total weight diamond earrings provided by John Franklin Jewelers.

Melinda is a Bridal Bazaar regular.  She’s attended three previous Bridal Bazaar shows with engaged friends.   But this time she came to plan her own wedding.   She and Lavelle were engaged on July 4th.

Melinda and Lavelle are San Diego natives and met five years ago.  They’ll be tying the knot May 14, 2011 in La Mesa.

“We had a fantastic time at the show”,  reports Melinda.  “Lavelle is very involved in planning our wedding and we loved all the ideas we found at the Bridal Bazaar.”

We wish Melinda and Lavelle the best.   And by the way Melinda,  you’ll have three more opportunities to visit the Bridal Bazaar before your wedding next spring!

They came. They saw. They planned their weddings!

Hundreds of attendees watch one of three fabulous fashion shows.

Wow.  More than 1,000 brides (and their fiancés, families, and friends) joined us at the Convention Center yesterday to find ideas, inspiration, products, services and the latest fashions for their weddings.     And they weren’t disappointed.   With 225 displays and three fabulous fashion shows there was plenty to look at, touch and taste.  Thanks to all our exhibitors and Gretchen Productions for making the show such a fun and productive experience for San Diego brides and grooms!

How to get the most out of the show this Sunday

More than 200 wedding professionals await you!

Get ready to plan your wedding at San Diego’s largest bridal show!   Here are some tips for making the most of the show…

  • Create an e-mail account just for receiving information from wedding vendors.  That way all the information and offers will go to one place that you can review when you are working on your wedding plans.
  • Bring pre-printed labels with your wedding date and contact information.   This will make leaving your information with the vendors you are interested in much easier.
  • Plan to spend a few hours at the show. Collecting literature is great, but talking with wedding professionals about their capabilities and ideas is the real benefit of the show.
  • Take time to attend the fashion show. Even if you’ve already selected your gown, the fashion show features the latest styles for your groom and bridesmaids and you’ll see the most up-to-date hair and bouquet ideas.
  • Dress comfortably and casually. The Bridal Bazaar is a fun upbeat place, so be yourself and enjoy all the show has to offer.  It’s big…so comfortable shoes are a must!

We look forward to seeing you at the Bridal Bazaar!

Bridal Bazaar…not just for girls!

It's their day too!

Gone are the days when the groom’s primary wedding responsibility was getting to the church on time.  Today’s grooms are very involved in planning their weddings  and one indication of this is the number of guys who come to the Bridal Bazaar.  In fact, more than half of attendees come as a couple!

Although your guy may not be much interested in dresses or flowers, there is plenty to keep him busy at the show.    In addition to interviewing photographers, videographers and DJs,  the guys seem especially interested in meeting honeymoon experts, checking out the limousines,  talking with formalwear retailers and, of course, sampling food and cake!
